Hola, familia!

Great to hear from you once again. Sounds like a crazy week! I think the last thing I was expecting was news about Baby Carson! Haha I{m still in a little bit of shock about that one… But I{m super excited too! What a fun surprise. 🙂
I{m not gonna lie, this week was a little rough on the work… We{ve been having a hard time finding people after first teaching them, and we{ve had a lot of rejections from lots of Catholics. We came to the conclusion that we{re going to stop working in a good part of the area and focus in more on just two sectors so we can put more of a concentrated effort in getting to people{s houses more often. It{s not like we have a car and can just go to whatever area whenever we need to in order to visit someone, so we are just going to work in two areas so we can be able to follow up more with the people that we find. We{re just praying that we can find the people in these areas that the Lord has prepared. The goal for the mission this month is to have every companionship baptize in June, so we are working hard to find somebody that{s ready to accept the message. As of right now, we don{t have anybody set to be baptized, and it makes us a little worried.. Our family didn{t come to church again yesterday, so their date got pushed back again. We were really bummed. Sundays are pretty bittersweet. But the work is good. We{re chugging along and we feel like this change in focus is something that the Lord wants. So we{re excited to see what happens here. It{ll be good.
Quick favor- could you send me the words to the song Amazing Grace? I{ve had it stuck in my head for a while, but I don{t know all the words….  I{m learning so much about my Savior Jesus Christ and how it is really only through Him that we can accomplish anything. Without Him and His sacrifice, we wouldn{t have any purpose, any hope for change or success. But it{s through His grace, His enabling power that we can become who we need to become. It is through His grace that we can have the ability to do the day to day things that challenge us in our lives. I{ve found myself hungering to learn more about grace- what it is, how it works, how we can recognize it in our lives. I{m finding that I really do rely on the grace of the Lord in literally every moment. I{m coming to appreciate Him more and more.
It was cool- in my personal study yesterday, I was studying about conversion and reading different accounts of conversion stories in the Book of Mormon and evaluating what a person feels when he or she is in the process of conversion. I was reading and writing the different feelings and evidences in my study journal when it dawned on me that I was seeing a lot of those things in myself. I realized that I{m growing in my desire to be closer to my Savior. I found that I{m so much more sensitive to the things that I do that don{t bring me closer to Him. And  I realized- I{m being converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It{s becoming more real in my life. And I{m so incredibly grateful each day that I have this opportunity to spend every day coming closer to my Savior and my Heavenly Father. Basically, it{s a really good life. It{s not easy. Definitely not easy. But it{s a life I wouldn{t trade for anything. 🙂
I love you!

6 months? That can’t be right…

Hooola!
My deepest apologies for not writing yesterday… We went in to Mariano for the day(we went to play volleyball and fútbol with our district- and yes, I actually played fútbol for the first time in my life. Why have I not done that yet?? It was great!) and didn´t get back home til 5:30 because we were waiting for a colectivo for a good hour. We went straight to the cyber to write because we have to get back to work at 6, but a few minutes in, we had a huge blackout and couldn´t finish. It was out for the next three hours or so, which made it a little rough because it was super dark, but it was an adventure. And it made the stars even more amazing. I love that about Villa Hayes. The sky is so big, and there are so many stars and not a lot of city to get in the way. It was pretty awesome. 🙂
It´s been a pretty good week. It was a little rough, but good. We started a 40 fast again for the purification process that President shared with us, and it seems that Satan was trying pretty hard to get our animo down. But we´re chugging along, seeing cool things happening each day.
On Saturday night, our investigator, Lucía, got baptized. She has some kids that are members of the church and so she´s been talking to missionaries for a long long time. Just before I came to the area, Hna Van Dusen and her companion finally just gave her a calendar and had her pick her own baptismal date. She picked her date for the end of May, just 2 days after her birthday. She hasn´t missed a Sunday at church since. She´s super solid and is really going to make a huge difference on the Relief society here.
I gave a talk in church yesterday and I feel like it went pretty well. The branch president wanted me to talk about missionary work (which reminds me- I´m considering changing my name to Gonzales. Nobody can say Pingel…. He came up to me and showed me his paper and said, ¨I´ve got you down for a talk next Sunday…¨ -The paper totally said Hna. Pingo…) but I didn´t want to just go up and talk about how everybody needs to talk to everybody and give out copies of the Book of Mormon and give us references… Although that would be awesome… I decided that really wouldn´t help our little disfunctional branch very much. So I talked about Lehi´s vision of the Tree of Life and how 1. Lehi partook of the fruit himself and 2. He wanted other people to taste of it as well. I talked about some things that we can each do to partake of the fruit of the gospel of Jesus Christ and let it really enter in our hearts and then a little about the natural consequence of wanting to share that with the people around us. I didn´t accidentally say anything really embarassing, so it went well. 🙂
Actually, it kind of caught me a little off guard. I sat down afterward and realized I just spoke for twenty minutes in a language I couldn´t speak six months ago and was just super grateful for my Heavenly Father. He´s helping me every day to keep learning and improving in the language and in just my every day life. It´s kinda cool to remember that He is just always working in my life, lifting me higher and higher than I could ever be on my own.
After this week, I feel like I can say even more that I have a testimony of prayer. We are teaching a family that is really awesome. We went and visited them last Monday, and the dad, Enrique, told us that he was getting ready to go out to the chaco on Wednesday to work. He wouldn´t be coming back until July. He had also applied for a job here in town, but wouldn´t find out about it until this week. He told us that he would find out for sure if he would be going to the chaco on Tuesday, and at the end of the lesson, we were sure to pray that he would find a job around here and not leave. I don´t think I have ever prayed harder for something as I did throughout the day Tuesday as I just pleaded with the Lord to keep him here so that we could help them all progress toward baptism as a family. He called us Tuesday night to tell us that he got a job and wouldn´t be leaving after all! He excitedly told us that it was because of the prayers that we said. I know that that´s true. Our Heavenly Father really does answer prayers, and I´m so excited to be able to continue working with this wonderful family. We´re seeing miracles here in Villa Hayes! We did have to change their baptismal date though… they went to the zoo on Sunday instead of coming to church… lame! I´m especially sad about that because I was really hoping they´d get baptized on the 16th so I could go through the temple with them right before I finish the mission. But they´ll get there. I´m not gonna rest until they do. 😉
Well, my time is up. Time certainly flies these days. I hit my 6 month mark tomorrow and I don´t like it… Bah. Humbug. But that just means that I´ve still got a whole year ahead of me. That´s at least 365 adventures and 365miracles to see. 🙂 Life´s good. 🙂
Hurrah for Israel!
Con amor,
Me. 🙂

Aloooooha!

Hello, hello!

Another week has come and gone, and time is going way too fast for my taste. But it´s been a good week. Lots of ups, lots of downs, lots of ´I love being a missionary´ moments, and lots of ´I´m frustrated with myself for not being who I need to be moments. Haha so it´s been good.
We found a family this week! The familia Flores Resquin. They’ve got 5 kids, the oldest being 15 and the youngest 3. They´re super awesome. Two of the girls came to church with us yesterday (48 people in church yesterday- yoohoo!) and the 4 older kids came with us to the branch activity on Friday. They all made friends with some of the other young women and primary kids. Awesome! The only downside is that we haven´t had the chance to sit and visit with the dad and he´s leaving on Wednesday to go work in the Chaco and doesn´t get back until July. Blast. But the mom and the 4 older kids all have a baptismal dae for the 16th of June. They´re my happy thought these days. 🙂
Speaking of happy thoughts and baptisms- remember the lady I told you about last week with the horrible, horrible spider story? She´s getting baptized this Saturday! Yay! I´m super excited for her. She´s going to be a rock in the branch- she already is!
Last week in our district meeting, we talked about  The Book of Mormon and how we should use it more when we teach. So this last week, we implemented what we learned and presented The Book of Mormon in every first visit. It was really cool! Before, we would just leave them with a folleto if we had just met them, but we tried to focus more on getting copies of The Book of Mormon into people´s hands. We´ve been able to go in, get to know someone a bit, and then answer doubts and questions with passages from The Book of Mormon. We´ve been able to see a lot of people get really excited about the fact that the answers to their questions can be found in one book. And my testimony of the Book of Mormon is growing too as we focus on using it more and more. It really is the most powerful tool we have!
Well, I love you all a ton. I hope all goes well this week! Hurrah for Israel!
Con amor,
Hermana Pingel
P.s. I forgot to explain the picture from last week. We read 2 Nephi 27:11 and decided to fulfil some prophecy. Good day. 🙂 Also- I got my scripture cases! They´re super cool! Life´s good. 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hey all! It was great to talk to youbekah on the roof2 Saturday!

Haha I apologize… I was a little flustered! Haha it took me a while to figure out how it worked, so it kept changing the big panel every 5 seconds. I didn´t know who I was talking to! Haha but it was really great to see you all and talk a little bit. You´re all so ridiculously fantastic. 🙂

As for the shoes, if you could send me some for my birthday, that´d be fantastic. I need a size 8, and just something that´s got good arch support and isn´t too… not wide..?… in the toe area. I can´t think of the word… but there just needs to be enough space that my toes aren´t squished. I dunno…. My comp said that Danskins are really good? Just whatever. I trust your judgement and wisdom. But if you could by chance find some that are brown or gray, that´d be fantastic. The ones I got are black. Also, I asked a while ago for just a few of my jenga blocks. But could you just send ´em all? Maybe not all.. that´d make the package kinda heavy.. a couple handfulls? We decided we could do some good fhe´s with those. And if you´re gonna make it a birthday package… could you maybe send some gravy packets too? I haven´t seen a drop of gravy in over 3 months…. And some mosquito repellent. With a fair amount of deet. Haha that´s all I need. Thanks a million and a half!
Okay, quick story. I was gonna tell you the other day, but totally spaced it. We have an investigator, Lucía, who is totally awesome. She´s had a baptismal date set for quite a while for the 26th of this month. I guess that before transfers, the hermanas finally just had her pick her own baptismal date, and she picked a date two months away. But it apparently changed her. She´s super solid and is really excited to get baptized. She has everything all planned out for her baptism, who´s going to be coming into town to baptize her, who will be in the confirmation circle, everything. And she´s always the first one to Relief society (side note- we had 9 people in relief society yesterday- sweet!) Anywho, she´s super awesome.
So we were at her house getting ready to start a lesson, when suddenly this HUGE spider wandered on over. Like massive. Tarantula kind of spider. So she tells us that those will kill us, goes up, and smashes its head with her umbrella repeatedly until it dies. And this thing is so huge that you can no joke hear it screaming as she smashes it. Oh my goodness. I´m pretty sure I´ve been traumatized. Haha I love Paraguay with all my heart.
Well, my time is up, but know that I love you all! I hope this next week is the best week of your lives!
Con amor,
Hermana Pingel

Whaaaaaat?

Hello from Villa Hayes!

We got the call last Monday about cambios, and Im not in Mariano anymore! They pulled out both Hermana Estigarribia and I and put Elders in the area again. I was super caught off guard and super sad to go. I had lots of plans for the people we were teaching and had just found lots of people to teach the day before, so I was a little put out. And I wasn{t too excited to be separated from my companion either. But Im excited about the new area, and my companion is super super super awesome. Her name is Hermana Van Dusen from Orange County, California, and weve had a fantastic time together so far. We get along super well. She has three changes left in the mission, and she knows how to work. She was in my zone before, so I knew her a little and looked up to her a lot, and now we get to work together. 🙂 I{m super excited to learn from her over the next while. How do I always get so blessed to have such awesome people in my life?
We{re in Villa Hayes, which is about 40 minutes north of Mariano, so I{m not too far away. Villa Hayes and Mariano are actually in the same district, so hopefully I{ll be seeing some of my M.R.A. people around. It{s a lot more campo, so it{s a little different. Lots more tranquilo and quiet. And lots more mud…
Here{s a funny story for ya…. My first day in the new area, it rained a whole lot. So we were out working in the mud basically. Anyway, we were walking in the street but needed to get across a big puddle to the side of the street to contact a house. So I started to walk through a puddle… When it suddenly turned out that it was a ditch on the side of the road and not just a puddle.. Haha so I pretty much completely fell into this massive puddle in the pouring rain.. Haha it was super funny. Miracle of the day was that my brand new agenda in my jacket pocket didnt get wet. Score. 🙂
Good news! I ordered my scripture cases today, and Im super excited. They{re going to be some sort of awesome. I{ll be sure to send you some pictures in a couple weeks when they{re done. 🙂 Speaking of a couple weeks, we get to Skype home for 40 minutes on either Saturday the 12th or Monday the 14th. We{re thinking that we{re gonna go with Saturday, but could you let me know if that{ll work out? Thanks a million. 🙂
Also, thanks for the toe joke.. I appreciate your jokes a whole lot. Haha they{re fine. The nurse has me on antibiotics and I have to keep some ointment stuff on em. Woohoo! So one is improving. We{ll see what happens with the other..
Congrats to Taylor! How awesome! Haha I{m not surprised that he made it though… He{s gonna do great!
Fun connection/ analogy that the Spirit taught me this week. I was studying about the tree of life and the iron rod, and Preach my Gospel posed the question of how it relates to commitments and covenants that we make and help investigators make. I thought of how the people in Lehi{s dream were clinging to the rod, which implies using both hands. As we as missionaries invite people to make commitments and act to come to receive their own testimonies, it is like they are putting one hand on the the iron rod. With one hand on, they come to realize better the way they need to go and prepare themselves to put the other hand on by making covenants with the Lord. Then, with both hands on the rod, they continue to act and honor their covenants, all the while coming closer and closer to the tree, feeling more and more of the Savior{s love and influence in their lives. It was a cool connection, and I{m super grateful for the opportunity that I have to help people get both hands on the rod. 🙂
Anywho, I love you all more than a lot. Sorry this email isn{t very exciting either.. The whole time I{ve been writing, a horrible, large, jumping spider has been hanging out on my computer. I couldn{t focus… But I love you tons! I hope you have a great week!
Con amor,
Hermana me. 🙂
P.s. That{s pretty much the best Nephi knock knock joke I{ve ever heard. I give it a ten and I will be sharing it with my companion in 45 seconds.
P.s. again- sorry about all the nasty { things. The apostrophe isn{t working… And it{s killing me…
P.s again again- we may or may not have swung on vines this morning….
P.s. again again again- WE GET TO GO TO THE TEMPLE ON WEDNESDAY!!!! 🙂 I{m excited. 🙂

April showers bring May…floods?

Buen día! Fun to hear from y´all. I loved your little analogy of the trees. It made me think of President Hinckley. 🙂 And I must confess, when you said, ¨I guess that makes me a tree¨, I heard dad in my head singing/yelling, ¨I am a tree, I am a treeeee!¨ I had a little ´laugh to yourself´ kind of moment. 🙂
Things are going pretty well down here. I can´t lie though, it was a bit of a rough week. It rained a TON, so it was a little hard to work. We had appointments falling through on every side every day. But that´s okay. Still good.

We have transfers coming up on Wednesday, and it´s a sure bet that Hermana Estigarribia is gonna go. She´s been in the area for almost 9 months! Sheesh! Haha she knows this place like the back of her hand. We find out tonight where she´s going and who comes with me in her place. I´m excited to find out who will be my next companion. I´m sad to see Hna. Estigarribia go, though- we´ve become super great friends! I´ve learned a lot from her over the past 3 months, and I´m excited to see all the things she´s gonna do after she heads out to a different area.
I had to go in to downtown Asunción today with the three other missionaries that came down at the same time as me. We had to go in to sign some papers for our visas. Haha I was like a little kid as we drove through downtown. I just wanted to look at everything and explore! It was super cool. Unfortunately, I didn´t take pictures. Next time though. 🙂
How cool that everybody´s been finishing up the Book of Mormon. I just finished last week, and it was super cool. I was doing the study that Elder Bednar suggested at the MTC. I don´t remember if I told  you or not- the one where you get a fresh copy and study with a question or a theme in mind and mark like crazy according to that topic. Then when you finish, you write a 2 paragraph summary of  what you learned, choose another topic, get another copy of the Book of Mormon, and start again. So I just finished my study of the character of Christ, and it was really good. Unfortunately, I didn´t bring my copy with me- otherwise, I´d share my summary. But basically, my conclusion was that the character of Christ is basically summed up in the word ´love´. That´s really what He is. And we can put that character upon ourselves when we learn to turn outward in every situation we come across. My next copy is on the topic of deliverance. It´s cool- I´m only in 2 Nephi and I´m already finding that it´s full of the Lord delivering His people. Cool stuff. 🙂
Well, I´ve gotta scoot. Sorry it´s so short- I had to email the nurse and send some fun pictures… I´ve got some ingrown toenail action going on.. yay! Haha life is fun.. Anywho, I hope that you all have the best week ever! Happy almost May! Love you!

Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

Great to hear from you! It sounds like all´s well at home. Trees, huh? That is way too fantastic. I hope there´s a reasonable space between some for a hammock. Because I´m totally planning on buying an hamaca paraguaya before I leave this place.  Big, big fan.
We had interviews with President Madariaga on Friday, which was super great. He´s so awesome. We didn´t talk a whole lot, but it was still good. He asked me what everybody calls me at home… Becky? I almost shouted ´No!´ and threw up. But I didn´t. So we´re good. He promised my companion and I that if we do more street contacts and contact 75 people each per week, we´ll find at least 1 golden investigator each week. So we´re going to put it in practice this week and get talking.
Friday night, a brother in the branch passed away. We´ve been working a lot with him and his wife because she´s inactive, so we go to their house every Tuesday night. One day, he remembered that we were coming that night, so he bought some empanadas and cupcakes for us. 🙂 They´re super awesome and take good care of us. We refer to them as our abuelos. Anyway, he got sick this last week and just couldn´t hold up anymore. He was 82 years old and worked harder than a lot of people I know. He worked in the Bishop´s storehouse and took his job very seriously. He worked up til Wednesday and still, on Thursday and Friday, was thinking about work and the people that he was serving. A super great example. It was a bit of a blow to the branch, but the funeral on Saturday was one full of hope and gratitude. It was a really cool service, and the spirit was definitely present. We´re going to be seeing a lot of his wife this week, making sure that she´s not too lonely.
Yesterday was super awesome. There´s a less active sister in the branch that hasn´t gone to church in a few years. We go to her house every Wednesday for lunch and she´s super awesome. She finally came to church yesterday with her daughter and it was SO good to see her there! She talked with the branch president about going through the temple, and, after an interview, he said that she can go through next month if she keeps coming to church! Gah! She was super excited and so am I. So we´re gonna start some temple prep with her every week when we go to her house. How awesome. 🙂
Cool experience- Here, soccer is huge. By the way, I didn´t know Brandon was playing soccer. Haha what a fantastic surprise. Pictures would be lovely. Wink, wink, nod, nod. 🙂 Anyway, there are 2 main teams, or clubs- Olympia and Cerro Portaña. There are others too, but they´re like Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, and they´re not as big of a deal. Olympia and CP are rivals, and they played yesterday. BIG deal. Well, Olympia won the game, so some people were super cranky while others were on cloud 9. I was on splits with a young woman from the ward and we were basically just contacting. We contacted a woman and were just finishing an introductory lesson with her when a car full of her happy family came to celebrate the big win. So naturally, we retaught a good portion of what we had already shared. And it was awesome. It felt so cool to be sitting there teaching 7 family members as they all listened intently. That was a moment when I thought, ´Wow. I´m a missionary.´ Super fantastic. Anyway again, one of the women that had just come asked me if we could come to her house sometime. She told us that she had a son that´s handicapped and she would like us to visit them. Awesome. Basically, a  whole lot of wonderful in that house. None of which would have happened if Olympia hadn´t won the game. Miracle of the day!
I love you all lots and hope that you have the best week that you could ever have!

Con muchísimo amor,
Hermana Pingel

P.s. who´s there?

Felices Pascuas!

Hello all!
Glad to hear things are quieting down a bit. Sounds like things were super crazy for a while! Haha but the Pingel house wouldn´t be the Pingel house without at least a little bit of craziness.  😉
It´s been a good week. It was the Semana Santa because Thursday, Friday, and Sunday were all Holy days because of the first time Christ instituted the sacrament,  the day Christ died, and then Easter, the day He was resurrected. It´s basically a Catholic thing, but the whole world is Catholic down here, so it´s a country wide deal. From Thursday to Sunday, they only played movies about Jesus Christ and the Bible on tv, and all the businesses were for the most part closed. It was kinda cool to have a whole week to help me remember my Savior more, but it did make it a little rough for proselying. The place was DEAD this weekend. Shyikes! But yesterday was really good. It was cool to have an Easter full of testifying to others of Jesus Christ and what He made possible for us. Good day. 🙂
On Saturday, we went to the church for a baptism that was supposed to start at 5, but the investigator didn´t show up until 7:30 because there weren´t any collectivos (buses) running due to the semana santa. So we had a loooot of down time… But the good part is that I sat down and fiddled on the piano for a good half hour until I remembered how to play Jessica´s Theme from The Man from Snowy River. At least, the part that I could play. It made me wish  that I kept up with piano lessons when I was little. Oh, life´s regrets… We sang with the Elders for the baptism and I  almost got a little emotional. We sang I Feel My Savior´s Love, and the words just hit me as we were singing. There we were, 4 missionaries, singing the words ´He knows I will follow Him, give all my life to Him´. And I really did feel my Savior´s love in that moment. Kinda cool.
I started my 40 day fast for the purification process that I told you about last week. It was pretty cool. We did the 24 hour fast to know what things should go on our list, and were able to know the thngs that we should stop doing. And a lot of the things aren´t bad or anything, but they´re things that the Spirit doesn´t quite approve of in a missionary that needs to be completely focused on the work. One thing, for example, is singing songs that aren´t hymns or such. I´m a big, big fan of music, and I´ve always got something going through my head. But I realized that when I bust out other songs, my mind isn´t completely where it needs to be. Aaaaand I also learned that I can´t play slugbug with my companion anymore… Man, purification isn´t easy! Haha but it´ll be good. I really want to be a more available instrument in the Lord´s hands, and if I have to stop playing slugbug to do that, so be it.
Feel free to look through the notebook! I forgot about that… as I´m sure you can tell.. Unfortunately, diligence is not one of my strong points.
I hope that you all have a super great week! I love you all more than this little keyboard will let me say!
Beeg hug, leetle hug, beeg kees, leetle kees,
Hermana Pingel
P.S. Happy Birthday to Nick and Brandon! Have a great day and eat lots of cake for me!
P.S. Thanks a bunch for the Jenga blocks in advance. I´m excited to receive them. 🙂 I don´t really need anything else as of yet. Except I was wondering if I could get a little bit of money in my account from the car? Not a lot. 25 bucks is all. I wanna order some scripture cases. 🙂 And get a monkey.

Merry Almost Christmas

(Her subject line will make sense when you read the last ps at the end of her letter)

¡Hola Familia!
Great to hear from you! Haha it sounds like a little bit of chaos going on at home right now… But still super awesome. Funny story- we were at the house of a family in the ward the other day. They have nine kids, too, but they weren´t all there. While we were getting ready to eat, one of them came to visit with the nephews and it was suddenly very hectic and loud. Haha I loved it. So much. 🙂
That´s so awesome that you all went to the temple together! Logan in the temple? Already? Wow! We get to go to the temple here pretty soon, and I´m very much excited. ¡Va a ser purete!
Hey, remember how you were talking about buying a calling card and sending it my way or something? DON´T DO IT!! Haha we get to Skype for Mother´s Day if we want. Which is my favorite price of free. Score!
Not much to tell about this week, we´re just chugging along. It´s starting to cool down a bit. Yes, it´s in the high 70s right now and I´m wearing a jacket. Something is a little off……. It´s been raining all day today, so you can only guess how giddy I am. The roads are now Los Rios de Mariano Roque Alonso. No joke. I feel like I´m breaking the ´no swimming´ rule. There was some INCREDIBLE thunder going on this morning during study time. I couldn´t focus! It was too fantastic.
Good news! We met a modern day, Paraguayan Joseph Smith this last week! We started teaching a kid that is super awesome. He has gone to lots of different churches trying to figure out which one is right and has a lot of doubts about the Catholic church that he goes to now. When we were getting to know him, he told us he´s ´Catholic´, complete with little finger quotations. He´s really great, and I´m excited to continue working with him and to see where he goes.
You asked last week if I have eaten anything weird yet.. Does cow liver count…? I didn´t ask what it was when I was eating it but decided it would be best to wait until after. I finally found out that night what I had eaten… I just said, ¨hm¨, put the dictionary down, and walked away to find something to eat before bed. Haha, and then I thought about how Katie would have reacted…. 😉
We went and visited a recent convert the other day, and he said something super awesome that has stuck with me. He said, ¨How can I not be sincere? I´m in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!¨ How cool. And how true! We often lose sight of how grand and important this Gospel is. And we´re a part of it! How can I not give all my heart to this work? Someone that spoke in the MTC said that true disciples of Jesus Christ aren´t meciocre. And really we can´t be. How could we? We´ve been given too much, and we´ve really got to give it all to the Lord. All or nothin´!
Well, I love you all a ton more than I can say in this little email-ito. Good luck with final wedding preparations and all that Jazz! Spencer and Randee- congrats! I´m super excited for you two! And I´m expecting lots of pictures. 🙂
Paz y Bendiciones! (Bri, that´s for you)
Hermana Pingel
P.S. Happy late birthday to Jordin! Yay!
P.P.S. The first picture is for you, Mom. I found the snipe! And I named it Kevin!
P.P.P.S The next two: I got a little crafty in theft prevention…. I have yet to write ´Santa Biblia´ though. It´s a work in progress. But my camera is nice and snug inside the cover of the word of God.
P.P.P.P.S. We had a zone activity today so the last picture is of us with the other Hnas. from the zone. They´re super awesome!
P.P.P.P.P.S. Wow, I always add a lot at the end of the letters… Sorry! But I´m super excited for conference this weekend! Haha I´m like a little kid waiting for Christmas to come!
